DOROTHY HAMILL COVID USER AGREEMENT
REGISTRATION - Program participation will be by pre-registration only. NO drop-ins permitted. Registration should be done online or by mail.
BUILDING ACCESS - Building will remain locked. Only registered program participants will be admitted to the building by the instructor/coach no more than ten minutes prior to the start of each program. Any late participant will have to call the Skating Rink office to be admitted to the building. DHSR staff will page instructor/coach. At the conclusion of programs, participants will be escorted out of the building by the instructor/coach, ensuring a prompt exit at the appropriate door and that the building remains locked. Instructor/coach may not leave until all program participants have left.
PARTICIPANTS – Participants must come dressed to skate, except for putting on their skates. NO LOCKER ROOMS AVAILABLE.
FACE MASKS – The Governor’s Executive Order on wearing masks will be enforced for all participants, instructors/coaches, spectators. A mask or face shield is mandatory to enter the rink.
SPECTATORS - Hamill Rink will permit one (1) parent/guardian per child of any age for lessons, public sessions, practices and games. There will be no exceptions, no variations, and no substitutions for this rule of one (1) parent/guardian per participant. E.g. simply because one participant is not accompanied by a parent, another child cannot have two.
SCREENING – Event organizers and staff must conduct daily symptom assessments of themselves and participants.
CAPACITY – Indoor group classes shall only be held at 50% capacity, while maintaining 6 feet social distancing if wearing a mask and 12 feet social distancing if not wearing a mask. CAPACITY will not exceed 25 persons including coach/instructor.
SCHEDULING – A minimum of 15 minutes must be allowed between programs. Rink Manager may insist on more than 15 minutes.
SHARED EQUIPMENT – Ensure participants do not share equipment and supplies to the most extent possible. If shared, clean and disinfect frequently. Initial:
HYDRATION – All participants and staff/instructors shall bring their own water bottles which are to be filled at home. Water bottles will not be shared. Initial:
PPE – Each organization must provide their own PPE (personal protective equipment) i.e. face masks, hand sanitizer, gloves for their programs. They are also responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting their own equipment and supplies. Initial:
These rules are subject to change based on State of CT and CDC Guidelines and if the Town of Greenwich feels adjustments are needed to ensure safe operation of the Dorothy Hamill Skating Rink.
